There are 3 universities and 33 private institutes in Singapore.
Eligibility criteria for each university are different. For universities like NTU, NUS you will need 2 years work experience & GMAT score with mandatory with 1st class degree. If you are an undergraduates, you will need to score at least 85% and above. SAT is required for NTU & SMU. NUS doesn’t require SAT.
Once you have chosen the institute or university that you want to study in, you can download their application form and apply. After completing it, you should send it to the respective institute along with testimonials of earlier education completed. Please remember, the IELTS score (English language proficiency test required to study in Singapore) should also be mentioned in the application.
After the institute peruses the application that you have sent, they may or may not shortlist it. So you will know if you have been selected if you receive a letter of acceptance from the institution. If you do, then you should apply for a Student’s Pass or Visa.

BACHELORS DEGREE: The Private Institutes offer bachelors degree programmes in almost every subject. The duration of the bachelor’s course is 3 years to 4 years. The admission requirements vary from programme to programme. The SAT, TOEFL and IELTS are not compulsory for admission. The students completed their 12th or 11th Std. or equivalent to Singapore A level can apply for the bachelor degree in Private institutes.
Post Graduate Study in Singapore's Public Universities
GRADUATE DEGREES: There are three main types of challenging graduate programmes in the Public Universities : Doctoral (Ph.D.), Masters' and the Graduate diploma.
Doctoral: All doctoral programmes are primarily research based. Duration may range from 3 years to 5 years. Students can take admission for PhD course after completion of their master's degree. PhD students need to submit a research proposal. Student need to appear for GRE/GMAT & TOEFL/IELTS exams for admissions.
Masters: Master degree programmes are primarily designed to prepare students for practice of profession.The duration of graduate courses may range from one year to two years depending upon the university. The various Master degree are MA, MS, MBA, MFA etc. Generally, an applicant must have atleast a good bachelors degree and two years work experience. In addition, an applicant whose native language or medium of instruction for the bachelors degree is not english must have a good TOEFL score or IELTS score. Applicant applying for admission in engineering, computer science, science should also preferably have good GRE scores. Those applying for business-related courses should have obtained either GRE or GMAT scores.
Graduate Diploma: Is offered as a terminal qualification and provides limited professional training in a specific niche. The Graduate diploma is often favoured by those students who seek additional exposure to an area of interest. It is one year full time course of study for graduates.
Diploma in government Polytechnics in Singapore
A Polytechnics education is a popular route in singapore for student inclined towards practise-oriented studies at the diploma level. They offer a wide range of courses such as Engineering, Business Studies, Mass Communication, Design and Info-Communications. Specialised courses such as Optometry, Marine Engineering, Nautical Studies, Nursing, Early Childhood Education and Film are also available for those who wish to forge a specific career path. All courses are conducted in the English medium and follow a credit accumulation modular system that allows students to pursue and complete their courses at their own pace. Under the system, students will take a prescribed set of modules and accumulate credit units for those modules they have passed. Modules are assessed immediately upon completion of the required academic work in a semester.

The period of the employment bond is longer for students of medicine (6 years) and dentistry (5 years).

International students enrolled in Singapore's public universities and polytechnics as well as foreign institutes of higher learning are allowed to work part-time up to 16 hours per week during school term.
They need to obtain prior permission from the Student Liaison/Affairs Office of their respective institute. They can work full-time during vacations. The International students enrolled in the Private Education Organizations are not allowed to work part time during their course.

Ans: That is difficult to generalize as it can vary from course to course. But for Engineering you are easily looking at 80% in top universities and 70% in the next level of universities. But you can get admission with 60% and above as well. For business studies and social sciences sometimes the marks required are the same or a little more. Basically it depends upon how much in demand a course in a particular University. Normally for a competitive Masters course Universities will ask for a first class and others will ask for a first class and others will accept a second class.

Q.Can I work during my degree?
Ans: Foreign students are not allowed to engage in any form of employment in Singapore, whether during term time or vacation time, unless they are studying at government universities (NUS, NTU, SMU). The students studying at these universities are allowed to work part time- 16 hrs a week.

Ans:The PEOs like MDIS, PSB Academy provide scholarships to the international students. Generally scholarships vary between S$1000- S$10000 and are given on merit basis. One has to check the updated status on scholarships with the institutes at the time of applying.

Ans:In general, after course completion the students are allowed to stay in Singapore for 1 month on Social Visit Pass.

Student Pass Applications
Applicants are advised to submit their student pass applications at least 2 months before class start date.

New Applications
New applications are to be submitted at least 2 months and not more than 6 months from the course commencement date.
Applicants are not required to be present in Singapore while their applications are being considered. Hence, applicants are advised to apply for a Student’s Pass before arriving in Singapore as no extension of stay will be granted while the applications are under processing.
Applicants are advised to enter Singapore to complete the formalities for the issuance of a Student’s Pass only after their applications have been approved.
They will be issued with Student’s Passes within one month from the course commencement date.
